Consultancy Projects
During the past years I have worked on various projects and have always used the same approach: A lot of time spent on the planning side and negotiations with the management of my clients. I also spend a lot of time creating inventories of all the entities involved in the project (data, software, hardware, etc). Most of the time inventories are big Excel sheets.
The rest of time is spent implementing the project. Since I’ve always worked as an independent contractor I have implemented most of the project alone with the added challenge that I had to handover the systems implemented to the client’s IT staff. However such conditions have a big advantage in that I’ve always managed to learn a lot after every project implementation. I also always had time constraints and that is one of the main reasons why I have always used a lot of VBScripting during the projects implementation.
Hardware Technology
The hardware technology that I've just used in the last projects:HP Proliant Blade Servers, HP EVA SAN storage, HP iLO (Integrated Lights Out), virtualization and High Availability using Microsoft Server 2008 and Hyper-V.
